Setting Description:
Barbados is a beautiful island in the Caribbean, a place of exquisite beauty and one of the more prosperous Caribbean islands. Visits to plantation houses and museums give an insight into the brutality of slavery and the uprisings and rebellions which eventually led to its abolition in 1834. Barbados is deeply rooted in Afro-Caribbean tradition, but also has some of the trappings of English life, particularly cricket! With its fascinating multi-cultural history, azure water and white sandy beaches, Barbados is the perfect place to study abroad.
