Program Description:

Study abroad in Ecuador for a semester or academic year as a high school student. Aspect Foundation's programs include a home stay with a carefully-selected host family, allowing students to work towards Spanish fluency and cultural understanding during their study abroad experience. Two years of previous Spanish study required.

Play a game of futbol or volleyball with your new friends after class, and experience the warmth and hospitality of Ecuadorian culture.

Setting Description:
Family life is very important in Ecuador. Families spend time together relaxing, talking, and eating meals. Futbol (soccer) and volleyball are both popular sports in Ecuador. People in Ecuador are known to be very warm, open, friendly, and expressive. Food in Ecuador has tremendous variety. Soups and stews with onion, peanuts, fish, rice, squash, beans, corn and lentils are popular.
