主题:1。中国的可持续发展:本课程从国际的角度介绍中国的可持续发展的各个方面，考虑到可持续性的几个方面，包括清洁技术、政策制定、城市发展、交通系统以及它们如何符合中国的第十二个五年计划。2.环境政策:本课程揭示了为了保护环境和自然资源而管理人类活动的任何刻意行动如何被视为环境政策。本课程还将研究在地方、国家和国际层面执行政策所面临的挑战。3.环境经济学:在本课程中，学生将有机会从不同的角度看待经济学，其中我们认识到市场不是唯一的配置机制，而是可持续配置是市场，规模和分布共同努力的结果。环境伦理学:本课程旨在为人类伦理学的边界带来新的视角，并将其扩展到自然世界及其保护。通过这门课程，学生将锻炼他们的批判性思维能力，并就当前问题进行讨论。为可持续发展项目筹集资金:本讲座介绍了为可持续发展相关项目筹集资金的各个方面，包括我们在中国面临的挑战和机遇。 Sustainable Buildings: Energy usage in buildings accounts for 40% of all energy consumption, so how we design buildings, manage energy and resources, has an enormous effect on our environment. This course will show how technology can be used to simulate environmental conditions therefore optimizing architectural design and detailing to promote a more energy efficient and environmentally sensitive design. 7. Green Building Certifications: This lecture is designed to draw a one-to-one comparison between western design certifications, such as LEED, BREAM and HQE and Chinese design certifications such as Green star and China Star and to discuss how they differ in concept and enforcement. 8. Social Entrepreneurship: This course focuses on engaging critical thinking for the creation of socially responsible enterprises. It teaches students how to engage in an entrepreneurial venture that takes into consideration multiple aspects of sustainability. 9. Strategic Environmental Assessment: During this course student will have a complete overview of what a Strategic Environmental Assessment is used for, its importance for sustainable development and the processes and stakeholder who take part in the completion of an assessment. 10. Informal solid waste management: This course will show case a 5-year research project on the “Informal solid management” activities taking place in China. Thought this lecture participant will develop a new understanding in how an organic recycle system has emerged from high levels of immigration from the country side to urban areas in China. 11. Wastewater treatment: This course will showcase one of UNEP – Tongji University Institute of Environment for Sustainable Development (IESD) major areas of research “Wastewater Treatment”. During the lecture students will be introduced to IESD, will cover the main strategies utilized for wastewater treatment in China and how they are transferring this knowledge to developing areas such as Africa. 12. Specialized Technical Chinese for Sustainable Development: This module has been design to introduce participants to key concepts of sustainable development in Chinese language, with the purpose to introduce the importance of Chinese skills when entering this fast paced economy.
