Program Overview

Program Description:

Genki Japanese School is a study abroad school for foreigners who want to learn Japanese in Japan. We have locations in Fukuoka City, in southern Japan, and in Tokyo. We specialize in teaching communicative Japanese, and unlike most Japanese language schools, our courses are aimed at speakers of non-kanji languages (mainly, European languages). You can start any Monday throughout the year, and study for as many weeks as you like. We're the most flexible, fun and rewarding Japanese school in Japan!

We offer the following Japanese language courses: Standard Japanese Course, Japanese Plus Conversation Course, Japanese Plus Traditional Culture Course, Japanese Plus Pop Culture Course.

All courses have the same core component of ten 50-minute grammar classes per week, and ten 4-skill “application” classes, where you practice what you learned in communicative situations. Plus courses have these classes, plus additional classes in the specific Plus subject.

We also offer long-term study courses as the perfect way to start your life in Japan! Study with GenkiJACS for 6-12 months. If you don't need a student visa, you can take this course at either our Tokyo or Fukuoka branch. Student visas are available in Fukuoka, and only valid for study of 12 months.
Schedule: 10 weeks of classes, then 3 weeks of holiday, repeating.
Course available: Start dates on the first Mondays in January, April, July and October.
Student visas only available for start dates in April and October.
