Intern with Global Experiences in Australia in Journalism. Assist a stylish quality newspaper that reports local news and views that influence and shape the community and which is part of the news group as a Junior Reporter.
The duties will include but are not limited to:
- sourcing a story
- researching the story for true facts and validity
- writing and editing stories for a target audience
- preparing the story for print
- responding to critique of articles
- general procedures for working at a newspaper
This is an example of a Journalism Internship. However, Global Experiences' internships are arranged based on your preference in terms of internship area, as well as your past experience and academic background. - Setting Description:
- The intern will be training as a general junior reporter. This will involve her being out in the field under the supervision of senior staff reporters. The training will involve learning about the development of a printed story from start to completion. The intern will be working closely with senior staff and learning about all the various areas within the newspaper.
