Nice (ages 15 - 18) As the capital of Côte d’Azur, the beautiful city of Nice is the fifth largest city in France. Nice offers sparkling seas, Provencal pleasures, a wealth of fine architecture and culture. Nice is a popular tourist destination because of its fantastic location between the Alps and Italy’s Gulf of Genoa. Not to mention, Nice lies on the western end of the Riviera on the Mediterranean coast! Just about everywhere you go in Nice, you will find interesting ruins, historical museums, boutiques and cafes. The cafes provide an unique atmosphere, as they are occupied by 17th & 18th century weathered buildings. Streets are often crowded with people shopping at the outdoor markets in the Venetian-style squares. Our Nice program is designed for more mature and independent teenagers as students enjoy some free time a couple of afternoons per week. Paris (ages 13 - 18) Paris is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and is widely known as the ‘City of Lights’. The magnificent city of Paris offers students experiences of a lifetime! For example, visiting the Mona Lisa at the Louvre, analyzing the glowering gargoyles of the Notre Dame or enjoying the glamorous can-can dancers at the Moulin Rouge. Paris is the paramount French city in politics, art and intellectual life. Artists travel from all over to come to Paris for its paintings, sculptures, designs, decorations, music, theaters, fashion and literature. Paris is everything to France. The city is the center for government and business and is therefore considered the beating heart of France. The ‘City of Lights’ has endless opportunities for tourists to explore monuments, landmarks, royal palaces, beautiful parks, as well as ancient fortresses. Host family accommodation: ages 14-18 Residence accommodation: ages 13-17 Montpellier (ages 11-16) Montpellier, “the city where the sun never sets“, is the ideal destination to learn French in France! Located in one of the most beautiful regions in the south of France, just next to the Mediterranean Sea, Montpellier not only offers sea, sun and beaches, but also the opportunity to discover the south of France: the Provence, the Camargue, the Cevennes, or the Pyrénées- Orientales. Montpellier is also a famous university city. Young and dynamic, it welcomes more than 80,000 students from all over the world every year. Montpellier is the city where learning French blends in with discovering a new way of life and new cultures. Host family accommodation: ages 11-16 Residence accommodation: ages 14-16
