这个实习项目是为学生设计的who want to gain valuable work experience in China and develop insights into the business culture of the world’s fastest growing economy. Programs run throughout the year and the duration of the internship is decided in consultation with the intern’s schedule and the company’s requirement. The internships are offered as both half or full day placements in various industries. Although these placements are available all year round, students should ideally apply one month in advance. Students have the option to combine internships with morning Mandarin classes that are offered by experienced teachers of our partner university from Monday to Thursday. Kunming, a cosmopolitan city of three million, is an ideal place to understand China. For an overall understanding of contemporary China and its gradual transformation into a major global economic force, students should not only limit their visits to its fast-paced metropolises, like Beijing or Shanghai. While these cities are undoubtedly business and economic centers in China, they are not representative of the country as a whole and are not the best places to learn about the vast Chinese mass market. To understand China, students should also visit China's interior, its heartland in Central and Western China, where most Chinese people live but where relatively fewer foreigners visit. That is primarily why students participating in our internship programs will be based in Yunnan Province in central China. Due to its great geographic location, Kunming is China's trading window with Southeast Asian countries and is an ideal city for business and cultural immersion. We have internship opportunities in various sectors ranging from hospitality (hotels), international trade (import-export companies), museums (working as bilingual guide) to tourism (developing marketing materials for foreign markets), and education (working in the administrative offices of a school, not only teaching).

· Internships for half a day or full day on weekdays · Internships in a wide variety of industries and sectors · A competitive edge over your peers on college and job applications · Placements are available around the year · The option to combine Mandarin classes with internships · Enroll in cultural trips to know the country and its society better · Intern in a much more “typical” Chinese city like Kunming where you can better understand China’s vast mass market than cities like Beijing and Shanghai which are much more developed than the rest of China and thus not representative of the Chinese mass market.
Setting Description:
China is the fastest-growing economy in the world with an average annual GDP growth rate of 10 percent over the past thirty years. An unparalleled growth in the private sector and huge investments in infrastructure since the 1980s have given China the role that it now enjoys in world trade. With its developing stature as a global economic power, it is no wonder that foreign companies and people are becoming increasingly interested in doing business in China. The chance to see what business in China is like from the inside is something that can be an ideal foundation for students in business studies as it gives the opportunity to develop the skills and cultural knowledge needed to do business in China in the future. For an overall understanding of contemporary China and its gradual transformation into a major global economic force, students should not only limit their visits to its fast-paced metropolises, like Beijing or Shanghai but also visit China's interior, its heartland in Cent
