Program Description:
We have a few places left on our week long creative writing course taking place next Spring 2014 in beautiful Aquitaine, France. Hurry, they’re going quickly!

The course also aims to change students' attitudes to creative writing. It will show you how to write - in any context -with impact and authority. It will equip you with the skills to use language more effectively in all your communication, including writing for the web and using email. It will help you to use different "voices" to make a deeper connection with the specific reader. It will build your confidence as a writer. And it will give you the skills to pass these new techniques on to others whom you might teach, manage or support. The course will be highly participative with ample opportunity to practice the techniques taught and to share your work with others. Students will be asked to complete a short questionnaire before the course to identify their interests, experience and personal objectives. The course will be aimed at an international cohort of students, providing opportunities to consider the issues around effective writing from different cultural perspectives. The tutors also bring experience of working in different European contexts. The course will be delivered in English. Setting Description:
这门课将在Chez Castillon large 18th century house in the heart of Castillon La Bataille near the Dordogne River in the Aquitaine region. On one side, the house overlooks the bustling, typically French street with boulangeries, flower shops and cafes. On the other, it gives on to a secluded, sunny garden complete with terrace and swimming pool. Castillon has its own train station, five minutes from the house. It can easily be reached by plane to Bordeaux or Bergerac. The surrounding area is full of delights including the Unesco World Heritage site of St Emilion. Accommodation: Chez Castillon There are five en-suite guest bedrooms in the main house. All are large double rooms with charming views to either the rear or front of the house. On the ground floor there is also an elegant salon, library, dining room and kitchen.
