2012 Start Date of the Summer in China program June 4th, July 2nd and July 30th TrainingBeam Education, in conjunction with China's most prestigious universities, provides a 28 day summer Chinese language and culture program for the students and teachers from all over the world. This program consists of Chinese Language learning, Chinese History, Chinese Geography, and Chinese Culture classes, Chinese Enterprise Site visits, Chinese Culture Tours and many other activities. We have a Silver Package (4 weeks) and Gold Package (5 weeks). TrainingBeam is an official partner of the Shaolin Temple, so we will not only organize Gold Package customers to visit the Shaolin Temple in the 5th week, but also invite real Shaolin Temple monks to teach you real Chinese kungfu. There are 50, 000 kungfu students studying in schools NOT operated by the Shaolin Temple outside the temple gate. We get you inside the gate. Your teacher is one of the 325 registered Shaolin monks. Gold program participants will have the opportunity to explore the real Shaolin Temple and the Terra Cotta Warriors site in Xi’an. The Chinese Summer Program is open to all, but designed for college and high school students.

Gold Package 1 students will have a REAL Shaolin experience. They will get up very early, practice Zen mediatation then eat breakfast with monks, then learn Shaolin Martial Arts from one of the 325 registered monks at the temple, not in a school outside the gate. This experience is very special and not available through most tour companies. We will also hike up to the Songshan mountain cave where monk Bodhidarma (Damo) mediated for 9 years, then propagated Zen Buddhism and Shaolin Kungfu Program Fee (Five Weeks): Total $ 3, 690 USD Gold Package 2: Location: 4 weeks in Guangzhou and the 5th week in Shanxi and Inner Mongolia -Shanxi is one of the homelands of the Chinese people, students will see many ancient site -Pingyao is an ancient walled city and the home of banks and bank checks in China, Yanmen Pass is an ancient fort built in the mountains, Jinci Buddhist Temple in Datong, and the Yungang Grottoes is a complex of caves with some of the oldest and largest Buddhist statues in the world carved out of solid rock -Inner Mongolia is the homeland of the Mongolian people. In the Yuan Dynasty (1200 AD) Genghis Khan and his Mongolian army ruled from the Pacific to Poland, the largest empire ever in the world -Gold Package 2 students will experience life on the Xilamuren high grasslands, stay in a yurt, have a chance ride a horse on the grasslands (costs extra), go to Baotou (the number 2 city of Inner Mongolia), go to the Kubuqi Desert in Ordos, visit the Dazhao Buddhist Temple in the current capital of Inner Mongolia (Hohhot), and Genghis Khan’s Mausoleum Program Fee (Five Weeks): Total $ 3, 490 USD
