Program Overview

Program Description:

研究人文、商业、科学和技术in Argentina with YFU. Work on your Spanish, whether you're just beginning or are already an advanced speaker. In addition to interactions both during and after class with their Argentinian classmates, students stay with a host family. Their family will help them not only practice Spanish, but also adapt to the finer points of Argentinian culture. Whether they stay for a semester or a year, students have the chance to really grow to know and love Argentina.

YFU's 8-week summer Spanish language immersion program doesn't just work to take your Spanish to the next level. During your stay in the small village of Goya, you will learn to appreciate Argentinian life as the locals do. With excursions to nearby festivals, your understanding of Argentinian culture will grow as much as your grasp of the language. Small classes of about 5 people will help you to form close bonds with your classmates and enhance your exchange experience.

Youth For Understanding USA's (YFU) high school study abroad program is an experience that will immerse you in the lives, languages, cultures, and communities of a real family in one of more than 40 countries around the globe. YFU is homestay experience where you live with a carefully selected host family who has agreed to open their home and their hearts to you---providing room, board, and a caring home. You'll gain a global family, make new friends, and even attend a new school. Previous language study is not required, but some knowledge of Spanish is highly recommended.

YFU programs make a lasting, life-changing impact on young people.
